Elena is a fictional marriage celebrant. I designed her website as a concept to show what a celebrant site can feel like: warm, clear and easy to enquire from on a phone.

I'm Matt, a web designer and developer in Melbourne. I work on my own, remotely, with businesses anywhere in Australia. Right now I'm focused on marriage celebrants, because a celebrant site is simple to get right and matters when couples are choosing.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The website and its code are yours. You can edit it or move it to any host you like, with no lock-in.

Do I have to use your hosting?

No. Hosting with me is optional, at $120 a year from launch. You're welcome to use any host you like instead.

Can I use my existing domain?

Yes. If you don't have one yet, I can arrange a new domain for you at cost, with no markup.

I already have a website. Can you replace it?

Yes. I'll design and build a new custom site, and it can go live on the domain you already use.

How long does it take?

Usually about a week once I have your details and content. Faster is possible by arrangement.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer: $250 to start and $250 when you're happy with the site. Nothing is paid when you send a request.

What if something stops working?

I fix it free for a year. That covers anything I built that stops working. New features are quoted separately.

Is it a template or WordPress?

Neither. Each site is custom designed and hand coded by me, without WordPress or a page builder.

Can you add bookings or a shop?

Extras like booking systems or online shops are quoted before any work begins, so you know the cost up front.

Is Elena Vale a real client?

No. Elena Vale and the other seven example sites are original concepts I designed for fictional businesses, to show what's possible.
