Elena Vale is a fictional business. This is a concept, not client work.

You deal with me, the person who designs and builds your site. No templates, no page builders, no handing you off.
Every site is designed for you and coded by hand, phones first. You own all of it, so you can edit it or move it to any host whenever you like.
I'm based in Melbourne and work with small businesses anywhere in Australia.

05 · From hello to live
How it works

Tell me about your business.
Send a short request, or just reply to my text. Nothing to pay at this point.

You and I agree the plan, then I build it.
You and I settle the pages, content and timing. Then I design it around your business and code it by hand, phones first.

You review it. I refine it.
You look it over and tell me what you'd change. I keep refining it until you're happy.

It goes live, and it's yours.
It launches on your domain and you own all of it. Hosting with me is optional.
Usually about a week once I have your details. Faster by arrangement.
06 · Questions
Fair questions, straight answers.
Do I own the website?
Yes, all of it. You can edit the code yourself, or move it to any host whenever you like. There's no lock-in.
What do hosting and a domain cost?
Hosting is optional. It's $120 a year from launch if you host with me, or you can use any host you like. You can keep the domain you already have, or I'll arrange a new one at cost, with no markup.
How long does it take?
Usually about a week once I have your details and content. If you need it sooner, just ask. Faster is possible by arrangement.
How does payment work?
By bank transfer: $250 to start, and $250 when you're happy with it. There's nothing to pay when you send a request. Extras like booking systems or online shops are quoted before I start, so you'll know first.
I already have a website. Can you help?
Yes. I'll design and build you a new one, and it can go live on the domain you already use. Point me to your current site in your request and tell me what you'd like to keep.
What if something breaks?
If something I built stops working within the first year, I fix it for free. That covers faults in the work I delivered, not new features.
Are the example sites real clients?
No, and I'd rather be upfront about it. All eight are concepts I made for fictional businesses, to show the kind of site I can make for you. Elena Vale isn't a real celebrant.
